First the auditor will check to make sure all of the required documents are presented.
The auditor will then ask a series of questions on the production line and ingredients.
Next the auditor will visit the operation line, specifically looking to make sure GMP protocols are met and that there is no cross contamination between Halal and non Halal products.
The auditor will then check the warehouse and inspect the storage of the Halal products.
Finally to conclude, the auditor will sit down with the quality and or company manager to discuss the findings in the inspection and answer any questions the company has in regards to Halal protocols.

Prior to Halal audits, we ask that companies prepare the following documents below. This ensures that the audits are completed in a timely manner.
1.Raw Materials list in English, their halal certificates, specs, country of origin
2.List of animal derived ingredients if any
3.Sanitation and cleaning procedures and daily cleaning records
4.Facility and equipment procedures with a focus on contamination control/Foreign Material Control.
5.HACCP/Process flow charts
6.GMP procedures and training records
7.Control of non-conforming materials.
8.Recall system/last mock recall
9.Pest Control Program and inspection reports
10.Summary of third part audit if any. Summary should include audit grade/points, major and minor non-conformances if any.
11.Finished Product Specifications
12.A business card and company's seal should be pre-arranged
